Terms and conditions of Menorca On Road S.L.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RENTAL

At the time of formalizing the contract, the client must present the following documentation:

–             Valid passport or ID.

–             A1 or B driving license held for at least 3 years. For non-EU citizens, an International Driving License is required.

Documents must be original; under no circumstances will photos or photocopies of said documents be accepted.

The minimum age for renting motorcycles is 21 years.

To ensure customer safety, a minimum of one year of motorcycle riding experience is required.

If the client fails to meet any of the conditions described above, the contract will not be formalized, and the reservation fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Delivery of the motorcycle

The motorcycle is delivered to the customer at the agreed place, date, and time, at which time the contract with the customer will be formalized.

If the customer is more than two hours late from the agreed delivery time without prior notification, compensation of €20 will be charged for the costs incurred by Menorca On Road S.L.

The vehicle will be delivered in perfect condition, although the condition of the motorcycle will be inspected upon delivery, and any defects will be noted in the contract.

The motorcycle will be delivered equipped with a trunk and two helmets at no additional cost.

RETURN OF THE MOTORCYCLE

The customer must return the motorcycle at the agreed-upon place, date, and time. If the return is delayed by more than two hours due to reasons attributable to the customer, a penalty of €40 per day will be charged, in addition to the rate established in the contract.

Both the motorcycle and its accessories (top case, helmets, and phone holder) must be returned in the same condition as when they were delivered. If the motorcycle is returned excessively dirty, an additional €12 will be charged to cover cleaning costs.

The vehicle must be returned with a full tank; otherwise, a €20 penalty will be imposed.

Menorca On Road S.L. is fully authorized to retrieve the vehicle from the renter at any time, provided that the period established in the rental contract has elapsed and it has not been returned.

If the customer returns the vehicle before the end of the contract, no refund will be made.

Menorca On Road S.L. is not responsible for items left inside the vehicle.

INSURANCE

If you use your vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or improper driving, you release Menorca On Road S.L. from any damages or liability.

Two types of insurance are offered to the client: basic insurance with third-party coverage and premium insurance with comprehensive insurance. The coverage included in each insurance policy is detailed below:

BASIC INSURANCE:

–             Damage to third parties: The insurance covers all damage caused to third parties. In the event of damage to the rented vehicle, the customer will be charged the amount corresponding to the repair, according to the appraisal by Menorca On Road S.L.

–             Full Equip: The rented vehicle includes a trunk and two cases.

–             Replacement vehicle: In case of breakdown, due to causes beyond the customer’s control, Menorca On Road S.L offers a replacement vehicle at no additional cost.

–             Roadside assistance: In case of a breakdown and needing roadside assistance, this will be offered at no additional cost to the customer.

–             Deposit: A €150 deposit must be paid to cover possible damage to the vehicle. This deposit will be collected by credit card upon delivery of the vehicle. If the deposit is not sufficient to cover the damage, the customer agrees to pay the necessary amount. The bank will be notified of the refund of the deposit within a maximum of two days after delivery and inspection of the vehicle.

–             No free cancellation: Under no circumstances will the reservation amount be refundable due to cancellation or modification of dates.

PREMIUM INSURANCE

–             All risk insurance: The insurance covers all damage caused to both third parties and to the vehicle itself and its accessories (trunk and helmets).

–             Full equip: The rented vehicle includes a trunk and two helmets.

–          Replacement vehicle: In the event of a breakdown due to causes beyond the customer’s control, Menorca On Road S.L. offers a replacement vehicle at no additional cost.

–             Roadside assistance: In the event of a breakdown and the need for roadside assistance, this will be offered at no additional cost to the customer through the vehicle’s insurance company.

–             Punctures: In the event of a puncture due to causes beyond the customer’s control, the vehicle will be repaired at no additional cost. In the event of a puncture due to improper use of the vehicle, the customer will be charged for the costs incurred.

–             Unlimited kilometers: There is no mileage limit during the term of the contract.

–             Bond: When taking out this insurance it will not be necessary to deposit any type of bond.

–             Free cancellation 7 days in advance: If cancellation is given more than seven days in advance, the customer will be refunded 100% of the reservation amount. If notice is given less than seven days in advance, the amount will NOT be refunded.

–             Priority attention: During the term of the contract, Menorca On Road S.L staff will be in contact with the client to organize delivery and collection and resolve any unforeseen events that may arise regarding the rental.

 

INCIDENTS/THEFT

In the event of an accident, the customer must call the police and file a mutually agreed-upon report, which must be submitted to the Menorca On Road S.L. office within 24 hours of the accident.

In the event of vehicle theft, the customer must contact the police to file a report, which must be submitted to the offices of Menorca On Road S.L. within 24 hours of the theft.

In case of loss or theft of keys, the customer will be charged €20.

In the event of loss or theft of helmets, the customer will be charged €50 per unit.

In the event of a battery discharge due to leaving the ignition or vehicle lights on, the customer will be charged €30.

FUEL POLICY

Vehicles will be delivered and returned with a full tank of fuel. If the customer does not return the vehicle with a full tank, they will be charged €20 for any costs incurred.

If the customer refuels with a fuel other than the one indicated for the vehicle, they will be charged for any repair costs that this action may cause.

USE OF MOTORBIKES

The customer agrees to use and drive the vehicle in accordance with basic driving and traffic regulations.

The client is strictly prohibited from taking the rented motorcycle out of Menorca.

The vehicle may only be driven by the persons named in the contract. If the vehicle is driven by another person, the contract will cease to be valid, exempting Menorca On Road S.L. from any liability.

It is prohibited to transfer, rent or in any way give the vehicle as collateral.

The customer may not make any mechanical or visual modifications to the vehicle.

In the event of a fine, the customer will be responsible for it. Menorca On Road S.L. will charge the customer €20 for the resulting processing.

In the event that the vehicle is immobilized by the authorities, the customer will pay the cost to Menorca On Road S.L.
